Rising To The Challenge

FAQs

What will all of this cost?
The cost of our current facility was $4.5 million (including the property purchase, architectural and site preparation costs, construction costs and furniture expenditures). The River Run Vision Team, along with The Beck Group architects of Dallas, Texas, have developed a preliminary sketch and the rough estimates to build are approximately $10 million. We trust that God will continue to bless us

What will be asked of me?
As part of our commitment to Christ and our ministry in His church, we will ask every family and individual related to our church to consider making a sacrificial financial commitment over and above their regular giving. This gift will be given over a three-year period of time. No one will ever be pressured to give, nor will anyone be told what he or she should give. This commitment is between you and God. We want every person to experience the joy of being generous to God in a sacrificial manner and the blessings that He always gives back to us. Our desire is for you to pray, pray, pray, and then ask God what He would have you do to Rise To The Challenge.

Will my commitment be made public?
Absolutely not! This is between you and God. We will ask you to fill out a commitment card, but your specific amount will be a private matter. The total of all commitments in the church will be shared publicly in a Celebration service.

How will I know how much to give?
The key word here is Sacrifice. Because everyone has varying income and assets, no set amount is appropriate. Instead, we request that each person would consider what God would have him or her sacrifice. Equal Sacrifice, Not Equal Gifts. A good definition of “sacrifice” is “giving up something you love for something you love more.”
