Rising To The Challenge

A Message From the Pastor...

Since 1999, River Run Christian Church has been a church that has risen to the challenge of God. These past nine years have been the most exciting and amazing years of my life. It has been life-changing for me to see hundreds of lives impacted and transformed by the love and grace of Jesus Christ. Nearly 700 people have committed their lives to Christ here at River Run and have been baptized.

In just nine short years, we have seen our weekly attendance rise from 200 in 1999 to an average of 1,250 between our Seminole and Brevard County campuses in 2007. That is an increase of 525% in attendance.

Friends, even with all the growth we have experienced and the blessing of moving into our current facility, I believe this is only the beginning of what God wants to accomplish through all of us. In February, we will launch into a capital campaign, called Rising To The Challenge, that will allow us to begin the process of raising the necessary funds to build a new facility that will house a 1,200-seat state-of-the-art worship center, two children’s worship centers, multiple children’s educational spaces, an indoor playroom for children, a café with indoor and outdoor seating, a bookstore, two large adult educational classrooms, a full kitchen and a large commons area. This additional space also will allow the Student Ministry full use of our current facility.

Rising To The Challenge will enable God’s kingdom to be expanded through River Run beyond what we could ever ask for or imagine. Our new facility will allow us to see even more souls saved. With the additional square footage, River Run Christian Church will be able to grow to nearly 5,000 members, which translates into many more souls spending eternity with Jesus in heaven!

Each commitment made to Rising To The Challenge will be a blessing toward the future of River Run Christian Church and our kingdom commitment to Connect Communities to Christ and One Another by being Relevant, Real and Relational.
